Portable photoionization gas analyzer KOLION-1V

High sensitivity (from the fraction of MAC in the working area). Wide range of measurable concentrations (up to 5% of LEL). Fast response. No need for consumables, additional gases, and calibration during the verification period. Automatic control of battery pack discharge. No 'memory' effect. Availability of alarm for exceeding the set concentration level. Environmental humidity does not affect the obtained results. The measured concentration is recorded digitally on a liquid crystal display. Small size and weight.

Device and operation The analyzed air is continuously pumped through a photoionization detector (PID) installed in the gas analyzer using a built-in micro-compressor. In the detector's measurement chamber, the controlled substances are ionized by vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) radiation. The ions move in the ionization chamber under the influence of an electric field. The resulting current signal is proportional to the concentration of the analyzed substances. At the same time, the components of clean air are not ionized. The concentration value in mg/m3 is displayed in digital form on a liquid crystal indicator. There is a backlight for the indicator to operate under low light conditions. For measurements in remote and hard-to-reach places (for example, measuring the concentration of contaminant vapors in tanks or determining the depth of soil contamination), a sample collector, a metal tip, and an extension of the sample collector, which can reach a length of 10 m, are used. The device is equipped with a signaling device that generates an auditory and visual signal when the measured concentration exceeds the established level.
